GREENLIGHT PRODUCTIONS is an entertainment group that organizes and promotes festivals, concerts, and shows in the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex on Dallas, TX. Founded in April of 2006 by Kevin Dunlap and Matt Shultz, GreenLight Productions is an organization dedicated to the goal of putting on the most fun, action-packed events with the favorite artists of all audiences in a safe environment.
GREENLIGHT PRODUCTIONS started as a business plan from founder Kevin Dunlap. When local entertainment venue Interaction Entertainment was in need of someone to book all-age weekend shows for the teenagers in Allen, Kevin stepped in as a contractor, promoting events every other weekend. With the closing of Interaction and the opening of other venues, Kevin continued his work elsewhere booking mostly local events. With the assistance of Matt Shultz as a graphic designer and online promoter, GreenLight Productions began to be a commonly heard name among local music fans. At GreenLight Productions One-Yr Anniversary show, held at Theater Seven in Plano, TX on May 18, 2007, Greeley Estates made a special performance, marking GreenLight Productions first succesfully booked one-off national performance.
In July of 2007, GreenLight Productions presented the first annual PLANOFEST, with headliner Sky Eats Airplane, in the Oak Point Ampitheatre. Soon after this event, GreenLight Productions presented its first major event, when artist EMERY was flown in for a small show at Fat Daddy's Sound Shack in Lewisville, TX. Since then, GreenLight Productions has had the pleasure to work with artists such as He is Legend, As Cities Burn, Mayday Parade, Forever the Sickest Kids, A Skylit Drive, Oh Sleeper, and many others, booking small intimate shows at Theater Seven with 5 bands, up to mid-sized festivals at Ridglea Theater in Fort Worth, with 25 or more bands performing in one day.
